EXPERIENCE
Kayla Stuart Vossler practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, child and spousal support, property distribution, same-sex marriages, common-law marriages, and custody matters.

Kayla brings over seven years of experience in the legal field, first working as a paralegal, then as a law clerk, and now an attorney, much of it in the field of family law. Kayla’s experience in every aspect of family dispute resolution gives her a unique and in-depth understanding of just what it takes to help individuals navigate all aspects of family matters, including divorce, co-parenting, property and debt allocation and cash-flow issues such as alimony and child support. Kayla brings just the right balance of structure and patience to help clients face the hiccups and hurdles that inevitably come with family matters.

Kayla is also a trained mediator and is dedicated to fostering constructive resolutions and harmony amidst challenging circumstances.

Kayla is also a collaboratively trained attorney and can assist families interested in the Collaborative Process in both DC and Maryland.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Kayla received her law degree from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Kayla attended the evening program while working full time during law school. Kayla received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Texas Tech University while working part time. 

During law school, Kayla was elected as the First Year Representative for the Evening Law Students’ Association, then elected as Vice President, and finally President.

COMMITMENT AND PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
Kayla is admitted to practice in DC and Maryland. Kayla is a member of the DC Bar Family Law Section, the Montgomery County, Maryland Family Law Section, as well as the Maryland Bar’s Young Lawyers Section. 

Kayla is a member of the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals of Maryland, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals

Kayla was elected to serve as a Board of Governors Young Lawyer Section Representative for the Maryland State Bar Association from 2023 - 2025.
